Parsley, spinach, thyme, rosemary, marjoram, figs, asparagus... it all still grows in the wild!

The park is rich in a wide variety of plants, some unique to this area. The most characteristic plant is the sticky gum cistus ("esteva"), whose sweet smell covers the Algarve all spring long.
